In Florida, Gov. Charlie Crist signed a bill expanding casino gambling. This deal with the Seminole Tribe of Florida guarantees $150 million a year to the state from casino profits and in exchange the casinos get to offer casino games like baccarat and blackjack in tribes casinos.

Websites, including online casino gambling sites, regarded as unacceptable by the Chinese government will get blocked through special software installed on all new personal computers. This will happen on the 1st of July this year on all computers sold in China.

Since 2006 US citizens who want to play at online gambling casinos have been struggling to play because of the restrictions set by the US government. Most online casinos denied Americans access to their online gambling world. But now some European gambling casino operators might soon get another chance to enter the US online gambling market. A lot of US players have chosen foreign casinos instead and now the US is thinking about moving the barriers and deregulating online gambling again. In Philadelphia a new poll that had been conducted among the citizens, states that more than 50 per cent of the population favored slots gambling. Most of them do not oppose any gambling facilities as long as they are not in the center of the city. Philadelphia’s waterfront was an acceptable alternative, they say. The survey had been organized by the Pew Charitable Trusts’ Philadelphia Research Initiative.

At the Tribeca Film Festival a narrative film is shown with the title “Vegas: Based on a True Story.” Insiders say that this movie is actually the favorite among the jury. An Iranian, Amir Naderi, directed the movie. As the title implies it is based on a true story and shows the backstage world of shiny Las Vegas. Naderi tries to show every aspect of the American epicenter of gambling. A stranger comes to Las Vegas trying to become rich and support his family but soon he loses it all. But the movie also shows other people who are luckier and it also covers the stories of casino employees.

The Casino Affiliate Conference (CAC) that had been held this year in Amsterdam discussed the latest online gambling proposals in France and the consequent advantages for other European gambling operators and players from the US. Ryan King, who is the Earn United Affiliate Program Director, spoke at the Casino Affiliate Conference which took place at the end of March in the Netherlands. New proposals for regulation of online casinos in France were in focus.

In the United States, some casinos have to face a strong struggle since the trend for land based casinos is decreasing. Gary’s casino licenses are said to be moved to Borman Expressway before the General Assembly gathers again for a session. Officials claim that the casino gambit had been offered too late. The session might turn down the transfer of the licenses since they are not able to give the proposal proper consideration.
